Will got his first set of drums when he was 3 years old, and later on began having formal drum lessons when he was 10. His dad (Ray Beavis) is a professional musician so there was always good music playing round the home as Will grew up.
At 16 he was out gigging all over the south-west with a ten piece soul band, and started travelling to London once a month for master classes with Britain's top drum teacher 'Bob Armstrong', he continued these lessons for several years. The most important aspect of the lessons, for Will, was studying the Moeller technique which is a way of playing in a very relaxed, natural fashion.

As his reputation grew people started calling him for various gigs and sessions. This led not only to him performing and recording around Britain but also in America.

Will enjoys playing and studying many different genres of music including:- jazz, rock, funk, blues, and world music. He teaches drums at his studio where he also composes and records his own music, he can also play the bass, piano, and guitar.

As well as teaching drums privately, Will has also taught a BTEC drum course at 'The Academy of Music & Sound'.
